We're doing some stuff on this at work.
Even slashdot had something to say.

The article about keeping up was written by Kathy Sierra. In case you aren't hip to the book scene, she is one of the writers of the Sun Certification exams. What's an interesting to note is how she gives us reconcilation with the fact we're not really experts in the Java world. This had always given me a bit of a headache. Just in the standard library there are enough classes to overload a person, but throw in the non-standard struts, hibernate, spring, faces, velocity and you've got a recipe for destruction. And of course, what person would be truly an expert if they weren't up to date on the straight javascript, html, css and the rest of the lot. It's too much. (I know some of the technologies I listed are overlapping, but to truly be knowledgable you ought to know more than one way to implement a solution so you know which is best for each situation) Anyway, here's what Kathy had to say:
- A millionaire on 30 hours a week Less about the money and more about being positive.
- The 21 Day Principal -
